I'm not sure what ATT stands for, but usually when you have it up to lets just say 30 volume, and you push ATT, it'll cut the volume down halfway to 15. Got it on 60, it'll turn it down to 30.
The reason it's playing both is because you just spliced the wires and connected them together. It's still got a full circulation through your wires, so they will play over each other. Try putting it in "CD Player" but with no CD, then play your iPod.
To trouble shoot, you wanna try and get it where no music is coming out before you start your iPod.

Can anyone please explain to me what the "ATT" mode is for? And because this head unit has no aux port i purchased a split cable that plugs into the back of the stereo and then into the headphone jack of my ipod. When i do this the music on the ipod comes through but along with the radio music and very low. and only rear speakers. Can someone please give me a link to the type of cable i should purchase? or troubleshooting tips, ty
