Help with html iframes.?

I have a drop down box with options in them, a submit button and an iframe which will display content. I want to make it so if I choose an option from the drop down box then press go it'll update the content in the iframe without refreshing the page..

I know you can do this using hyperlinks but unsure if it's possible using buttons.

Please help :)
