Help with electronics, connecting a wire to a source of power?

Hi

I am trying to create this infra red pen, however instead of using a battery, i want to connect it tomy computer for power, how do i do this, right now i have the wire, which if i use a battery is fine, but i want to connect it to my computer for power, how do i do this?
