help with colour choice for are lounge?

I would like a bright colour to go with brown and beige.I was thinking orange and would like an opinion what colour would look good it is a large light lounge with a fireplace and chimney.I was thinking of doing the walls ether side of the chimney.Thank you
It is a dark chocolate brown
 
Virtually any colour goes with brown and cream - orangey shades would be lovely and bright and warming. You could do the alcoves in the orange, or you could do a feature wall in orange then add a nice piece of artwork to each alcove, picking out the orangey shade. That would look great. A few cushions that tie the orange, brown and cream together would bring the whole thing together.
