I recently started having trouble with both arms going nurab and "extremely asleep" best way to describe. I've had pain in my rt arm and between my shouders excruiating at times. Recently had cervical MRI and would like help with what all it says. I am scheduled for a c5-6 acdf soon, but the rest of the results are using the same terminology so don't understand.
c2-3 through c6-7 mild disc dissection with reversal of normal cervical
lordosis.
c2-3 mild uncal hypertrophy with mild to moderate neural foraminal stenosis
bilaterally.
c3-4 mild uncal hypertrophy without significant canal or neural foraminal
stenosis.
c4-5 a right paracentral disc protrusion abutting the cord. also moderate left
neural foraminal narrowing and mild right neural foraminal narrowing.
c5-6 a left paracentral disc protrusion with mass cord effect. This
contributes to moderate to large left neural foraminal narrowing and
mild right neural froaminal narrowing.
c6-7 a small posterior disc osteophyte complex without significant canal
stenosis, there is left neural foraminal narrowing.
No convincing signal abnormality is seen with in the cord.
I had this in august and am scheduled for the acdf this month. I know that at c5-6 I have a disc almost completing narrowing the left neural forminal and then the right is also being narrowed, and that it is going into the spinal cord, and that all of this is causing the nurabness. But too be honest the rest of the mri doesn't seem great to me or am I just being a hypo. After 4 years of complaining of pain believe me drs have a way of making you feel crazy. My surgeon has been great though.
