for bio we got the results of this lab that was done using potatoes.
there were 10, 10 gram potato slices added into 10 different beakers. each beaker had a different level of sucrose concentration. after 24 hours the weight(grams) was all different of the potato slices.
the beakers with higher concentration, the potato slices weight less and the beakers with loser concentration the potato slices weight more.
can anyone explain to me why this is?
and also, how can i estimate the sucrose concentration that is isotonic to potato cell cytoplasm, using my graph?
