...discuss..." in formal words!? I need to write a introduction for a field trip report on a monument. THe paper is divided in Introduction, Location, Historical Background, Description, Diagram and Conclusion. In my introduction, how can I say ""This paper will discuss"... in more formal words and in a different way! Please help. This paper is talking about the Roman Colosseum.
 
How about "The Roman Colosseum is an ancient structure that attracts thousands of tourists each year."
