please could anyone hepl me with the name of a film i seen on tv in and around the summer time last year. it was a war film possibly wwII, i cant remember who acted in it but i can remember a couple of things that did happen
1. the actors where escaping from germany (i think) and they came across a german weapon factory and they blew it up.
2.they stole a fire engine a drove through germany in it(thought checkpoints ETC)
3. a group of german soldiers drove past as they were walking down the road and they pretended to be working on the side of the road(it not very clear i know, but it is only what i can remember)
4. im not sure if this is the same film but they came across an english speacking person and he was a doctor who helped one of the injured soldiers, but the germans were alerted to this and burst in on them.

please help me with this film as i really want to watch it again, hopefully its out on DVD. :)

it defiently not the great escape

they could blow up a bridge at the end, any idea what type of bridge it was to help jog my memory ie was it a small country road bridge, or a really big one in a city.

it was a prety old film as well(if that helps)

I love The Password Is Courage - Alfred Lynch was my favourite actor of British War movies, yet I was really offended to see that he was left off the annual BAFTA 'in memorandum' list - b*tarRAB

Two questions - is it black and white or colour? were there american stars or british only?

its wasnt Dirt dozen was it??? i remeber seeing it when i was in hospital in December having my baby and i was watching TCM
