well today i left school sat lunch time, my truck started great. i got down the road not even a half a mile and the gas petal would not make my truck go fast it is if it were on. all of a sudden it kicked in and lets me drive. i parked at a gas station and within 2 minutes it shut off. this time when i tried to start it, it would turn over but would not start up. please help me someone said it might be the fuel pump?? well before it shut off the check engine light came on. i checked my oil and it was fine but when i would try and start it the oil pressure gage would just jump up and down at times. we tried hooking a computer up to it but the computer read nothing was wrong. please help me???

it sounds like a fuel pump problem...is your air intake clean ? if it has a carburetor it might be dirty. id suggest going and getting a can of carburetor cleaner and spraying it down(be careful it is very flammable)
and if it has injectors they might be clogged...id suggest pulling them out and spraying them as well !!
Well i hope this helps ! Good luck !!!

Fuel Pump. I would start out checking the fuse for it, then checking the connections to the fuel pump and if they are fine then its your fuel pump.
