I have had a problem lately where sometimes the truck will break down on the highway. It stays in gear but everything all of the gauges and the power steering and brakes go out. I have even tried downshifting to restart it but it doesn't do anything. After I stop, it won't start immediately but it will always start after sitting for a few minutes. It has the 5.9L gas engine and 4 speed manual. It always runs good and only has problems on the highway. Please help out if you think you know what it might be. I've been told it could be the ignition control module. If so how much would that cost and could I replace it myself?
