I have a 1997 Mustang convertible with an aftermarket stereo and subwoofer. Recently, i decided my stock speakers sounded too distorted at a high volume (not loud enough to compensate for wind noise) and replaced all four with new boss speakers. But now instead of getting distortion when i turn them up i get a really distorted choppy sound. Im confused, why is this happening? The head unit is a clarion 4x50w and the new speakers are Boss 225w (max not rms). Anyone know whats going on?
