Hello car care friends! I have a problem if it is a problem i'm not sure but i'm worried because I don't know. I have some steel chrome modular rims on my Tahoe and i'm dealing with a winter in Illinois right now temporarely and the moisture and salt from everything is trying to really rust them up and fast too! I found this brown stuff my grandfather gave me when I turned 16 called No. 7 Chrome & Metal polish. It works like freakin magic by removing all (and I mean all) rust from the rims restoring the brillant original shine. But days lator they rust up again and I just couldn't keep up with it until I thought about putting some wax on them thinking it would slow the rusting some. Well I bought some of this spray-on speed wax which totally helped alot by keeping 90% of the rust from even coming back. So today I noticed that a little rust had come back (not much) and the snow has melted because we have had an exceptionally warm week so I thought i'd repolish and rewax them being a warm day but by the time I had time to spray the wax on it was nearing sun down and after I applid it and It Froze! Thinking the thicker coat the better... I really laid it on and now i've got a frozen wax mess all over my rims. It says on the bottle to wipe clean after spraying but maybe thats just so the rims don't look messy after being sprayed. ??? Maybe? Anyways, will the frozen wax hurt my rims? Please let me know I worked too hard for them just to see them go to hell. Much appreciated!
