I got a phone,(motorola e815) on line with Backup Assistant on it but do not have the survice and keep getting a error message. How can I remove it.

There is no "Get Going" under "Get it now". I can do "Get it now" highlight "Backip Assistant", "options' but no cancel subsbribtion.

May I ask why don't you use the service? It's free (if you sign up to access your account online). It has saved my buttt more than once.

There seems to be some confusion as to weather it is free or not. Do you have the answer to that? It may be worth while, or I could be backing it up myself.

Actually, I meant that Verizon employees pay for the service. Even though we are required to use My Account and paperless billing, we still don't get the benefits that regular consumer accounts get.

However, it is still very much worth the cost.

I totally agree with this one. With over 500 contacts in my personal phone and about twice that many on my work phone, it was worth the 2 bucks I used to pay for it.....for some reason....now that it's free, it seems even better. Kind of like free beer......seems to taste just a bit better than the beer you pay for.

It was amazing to have when I had my LG Dare, but since I have moved onto the Motorola Droid. With the Droid, I get pesky txt messages from 6200 containing "//BREW:0x01017246:TYPE=SAS;UI=1;CONT=0,7,0;" I've searched other forums and traced the problem back to BackUp Assistant and have been told that responding "STOP" should stop the txt messages. I did that over a month ago and haven't recieved any till this last week where it started up again. I've responded "STOP" again, but this time they keep coming. My Droid is backed up by GMail contacts, so I no longer need BackUp Assistant form Verizon and would like to unsubscribe. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this...HELP!
