Help trying to remember an old kids movie from early 90's?

I can't remember the whole plot of it but I think it was called The Wish or just Wish. It had a little boy in it and he makes a wish. I cant even remember if it was a movie or a program I just remember watching it & loving it. It's either from the early 90's or late 80's. Thank you =)
