My only child will be 1 year old in April. My husband and I want to have our children close together in age. 2 years apart is ideal. My problem is I gained a significant amount of weight during my first pregnancy (i was not thin to begin with). During my first pregnancy, I gave in to every craving and over ate "for the baby" like many first time mothers inadvertently do. I am ashamed to say I am 5'4" and OVER 200 pounds, and having a very hard time losing weight. I'm also breastfeeding, so diet pills are out of the question. My husband is ready to start trying for our next baby and like any good hubby, says I don't need to lose weight, which I know is BS. My mom said I should start TTC and focus on losing weight after baby # 2 is born and just not give in to cravings and eat healthier and I won't gain as much. I've been trying to lose weight since my son was born and haven't really been successful. Only lost 30 pounds, half of that was just from giving birth. My husband and I really want to TTC, I am just terrified of gaining a significant amount of weight again. Opinions please!! If I watch my diet while pregnant with baby # 2, is it possible to not gain more than 30 pounds during pregnancy? Would you lose weight or TTC? Be nice please. Women/Mothers answers preferred. No offense guys. Thank you everyone!
My husband and I really want another baby soon. I would like to have all my children before I'm 30. I'm 26. The weight gain terrifies me, especially because I'm having a hard time losing weight now. I'm so torn! I would give anything to return to my pre-baby weight, but having another baby is very important to me and my husband.
