HELP!!! Should I send this text?

There is this girl that I have been talking t for 4 months. We were at college together but now college is over. I think she may like me too. We live in the same hometown so we are in the same town for the summer, but I'm not gonna see her. We are both 19 and we are both kinda shy. I was gonna send her this one day soon:

"Hey, Jane! I know there are probably 100 better ways to do this, but do you wanna get dinner with me sometime?"

Should I do dinner? Or should I just say 'hang out' or a movie?
