He consistently has been leaving the bathroom window open at night after he takes his shower. I would make sure to close it, but he works late, and I have to be up early for my job, and am usually asleep when he gets home.
I say that this is wasting a ton of money, since all the heat is going straight out the window. Our apartment has been FREEZING in the morning, even though the thermostat is at 75degrees. On the nights I do close the window, it's nice and warm in the morning.
He says that it is barely wasting any money and that I'm overreacting. And because he doesn't wake up until 8 or 9 in the morning, he doesn't feel how cold it was when I woke up at 5:30 or 6 before I shut the window after being open all night.
I've heard of people going around their home with incense to see where the heat is escaping and sealing up gaps, he's leaving the whole damn window open. On a scale of 1-10 how much money is this wasting(1 being none 10 being a ton)?
He isn't a terrible guy at all. He just gets stupid ideas stuck in his head and gets all stubborn about them because he's a man, I guess. My dad is the exact same way with little stupid bad habits, and him and my mom have been happily married 37 years, so please don't tell me not to marry him, I was asking about our heater, not our relationship.
