Help! Some months ago someone devleoped & posted benchmarks for various Secure Digital cards/different sizes/different manufacturers...I believe he used VSFMark. Can anyone direct me to this post?...I appear to be search-skills challenged....

Thanks in advance,

Here's one link I found . . .

Also, I did a search for simply "Panasonic." That brought this above post up as well as 4 other pages which had SD Card info.
The program is called "VFS" (freeware) but the only results that MATTER are your own.

The results (forum wise) were VASTLY in favor (results wise) of Panasonic. Personally I wouldn't use San Disk as a coffee cup coaster.

Hope this helps!! Panasonic 256MB all the way!!

ADDENDUM 5 minutes later: Here's another which shows my VFS for the Panasonic (found by searching for simply "VFS")

...Wish there was someway to know the manufacturer before buying SD's- as with everyone else posting here has said, can't beat performance of panasonic-produced cards.

Panasonic do market their own, "self labeled."

I was not aware until reading this forum that LEXAR use Panasonic and SanDisk, and you don't know which you've got until the package is opened! YIKES!!

I would look for (obviously) Panasonic's own labeled merchandise and you'll be fine. That isn't meant to be condescending - you literally have to look for the name on the package or else you're right . . . it's a huge mystery til you read the back of the inside of the Card (and the package is opened!).

I got mine at "Fry's Electronics," either $69 or $79 around 3 months ago, but will have a look around and see if other retailers sell them; otherwise you can buy online from Fry's.

I remember looking and seeing that Staples, Office Max and Office Depot DID NOT carry them, but I'll check around.
