The Nexus line is, as you know, Google's line of phones. They are incredibly developer friendly. Rooting and unrooting is very easy on both on them (at least compared to rooting on other androids)

Go to this website: http://androidforums.com/

Navigate around. There is a page dedicated to rooting for each and every android device. It will walk you through every step of how to root your nexus S.

That is the appropriate place to find the answer.

Be hesitant as you don't want to brick your phone.

Hi I recently made the switch from ios to android, so I'm quite the noob at rooting. If anyone knows how to root a nexus s 4g, please tell me or at least link me to a very detailed guide for a new comer like me. I've searched around for guides, and found a few, but I'm hesitant because I don't want to lose all of my stuff and break the warranty on my phone.

Also, my nexus is for sprint and I know that there is another nexus s out for tmobile. Do they both have the same methods to root it? And if it's possible is there a way I can keep all my apps and what not after rooting or will it completely wipe everything out? Thanks guys.
