HELP recover Sudoku game that came w/ HK N73

Trying to recover/reinstall original Sudoku game that came with HK N73:

Hey guys, my HK N73 came with a Sudoku game. I realize now that the game was on the mem card and not the z: drive. I did something to the mem card when I had it connected in mass storage mode to my computer. As a result, although I didn't lose any of the files/programs on the card, I lost all references to the installed programs in my Menu. I had to reinstall the programs, one by one, they would install on top of the files that were already there, and that way I got all my stuff back. However, I don't have THAT SPECIFIC Sudoku game (looks like all or most of its files are still on the card, there is just no way to launch the prog). Any help, pls..?


P.S. As a side question. I have a larger mem card on the way. What is the best way to migrate to it? Can I just take the current card out of the phone, and copy its contents (using a memory card reader) to the new card?
 
Hey, I also just lost that game! It was mBounce Sudoku. A great implementation of the game/puzzle. I assumed it would be on the CD for N80, but no dice.

I think we might be SOL, but you're not alone, anyways.
 
Oh thats right, I didnt think to look at the CD, but I'm sure its not there. Anyone have the game. I bet I wouldnt even have to reregister it, as the prefs are all still on the card.
 
I lost it too. My memory card got corrupted and then I lost the game. Thing is mBounce doesn't have it on their site, so really no way of getting it back.
 
Hi~ I am not sure if you can read Chinese. I say that because there are many Chinese websites like this, they put the n73 backups with link. So if you can get the copy of your memory card, you will be able to play that game, right? If you need help, I will try to find the link for you.

Yeah they are both 3rd edition, and a lot of sis(x) files are compatible, but that link is essentially a factory image for the card shipped with the N73. So the mBounce game has already been installed. Not really sure how to extract the correct to files to install on my already existing card.

Anyways, I managed to recover my old card, and copy stuff over to my bigger newer one, and have the sudoku working again.

Just copy all of the files and folders on the old mem card to a folder on your PC. Make sure you get all the "hidden" folder. (Check the windows folder options). Then format the new card, and copy all the copied data to the new one.

Bingo.
 
Thats pretty much what I planned to do. Messed around w/ trying to get Sudoku to work again today. Got it to show up in main menu but when I went to launch it gave me a security error and wouldnt even start.

any ideas?
 
by "copy everything": do you mean you took the contents of the download link above and copied them into an EMPTY 1gb card? I am hesitant to do that because that would require me to reinstall all my programs (which are all on the card) and god know what else, from scratch.
 
hi, have u solve this prob? i have the same problem with you as my miniSD card have some error and i formatted the card without knowing that the game was in the card. so in the end, i lost the game. how do u install back the game? i downloaded the file from the link in the previous reply but there is error in the installation. can share how to install back the game?
 
Unfortunately, I was not able to solve the problem, and just gave up.
Does anyone have a solution? (one that doesnt require formating the card and copying the contents of the download, found earlier in the thread, onto the card).
 
ok. i've tried the method mentioned before, using the mass storage method with the file i've downloaded. the sudoku game in the folder is not the N73 one, which i believed is game for N80. i've copied most of the files in the downloaded file(since no harm after my game is lost). so if you dont mind, can try copying the files into your card. also, make sure u backup your card first (through mass storage) and copied it into card. the rest, the phone do it for you.
 
I also lost mbounce Sudoku as my card corrupted. If anyone has the original game the one that comes with the phone (Nokia N73), I would appreciate it very much if you can e-mail the files to me.
