Help! Really stuck and confused

Hi I have registered on usenet and paid up for an account.

I have downloaded both grabit and x news, and whenever i try to search i get a 502 authentification failed message.

This is really doing my head in now.

I think the problem may be that I am on AOL????

Any help would be fantasttic

Am i correct in thinking that seeing as I am on AOL i have to use a different news server such as

That is most definately a password/username issue. Normally a pass issue.

You sometimes get these errors when the usenet provider is having issues with their servers too.
