First of all i am not sure where this post should go, so apologies.
I have had a painful lower leg/foot/ankle area for 3 years now. It is killing me, throbs, gives way, gets very stiff and i get severe sharp shooting pains in it. I sit awake nearly every single night with the pain, i work full time for my local Polcie Force and cannot keep taking time off with this. I have had an MRI done but the consultant was so sure this was a trapped nerve problem (which is wasn't) he only did the MRI on my lower spine!! The results were that i have Tarvol Cysts, this is the report -
(((Normal Vertabrae discs for age...
Spacious central canal...
No bone marrow infiltration...
There are non-significant,multilevel perineural cysts surrounding the nerve roots, in particular, both lateral recesses at L3/4 and L5/S1 and on the right at L4/5))).
( Does non significant mean they are nothing and can just be ignored!)
Anyway, none of the above could answer for the severe pain my my leg/foot area. I have now had an MRI of the foot area and it has shown the following-
