help please windows media player?

Hi i have a mp4 player and im trying to put music on it i have chosen the songs to put on and i click sync now button to start but im not sure weather i have done it right please help i have all the music just need to know if im doing it right or if im not how to do it and pt music on my mp4 (its taking Forever its only at 1% sync and been doing it 4 ages like 15 Min's)
