Help Please - Sprint Katana II problems - I READ EVERYTHING HERE ALREADY.

I'd like to say thank you, I had the exact same problem and I spent about 2 hours trying to fix this problem with a katana LX, before I finally came along to this thread. Although I had a few other issues, after I tried everything you had done... but then I realized the phone had to be on. :P lol...

pm me...i have the tool you need...

also- to use any tool, you will need to correct your port error as amoamare said...

do this by connecting your phone, making sure that anything else connected to com1 is disabled, then restart your pc with your phone connected...

Manually set it to com 1. Rebooted. Still no connection with unicdma or any other tool. Do I have the wrong driver? It's from the sprint site. I'm beginning to think my cord is the wrong one or something stupid./

It is the only thing plugged into my laptop. It shows up as Sanyo USB Modem SY02 and is on Com1. It is fully charged. I'm frustrated./

In UniCDMA which mode should I be using in the drop down menu, my phone isn't in the list. It has some hynduai as default, and then lg, qualcomm, withus, and a few other choices. I think i've tried them all but maybe not. Still says phone not connected./ Fails to switch modes and fails to switch into dm mode./

grab urself a sanyo spc reader. it will do the trick for you. change com port to 1 and it will read and allow you to write the spc at one time. then cdma the prl file......viola

Sanyo SPC is not always the best. The memory addresses are preset the SPC's are not always in the same place in the memory... most are but not all of them. CDMA Workshop is best for sanyo's, is has a preset memory {span} i guess that it searches through based on what phone you set it to. UniCDMA -- I just don't use anymore it doesn't search for an SPC just dumps the memory. CDMA Workshop will search for the spc in the memory {span} you specify.
