Help please..n73 white screen...

[Hey Libs!]

.....of death!!!!!!...All i was doing was texting my friend which happened to freeze my phone so I turned it off and turned it back on which didn't work. I then removed the battery , let it sit for a couple of moments, put the battery back and turn the phone on. The white screen comes up, the NOKIA logo is blazing, im' happy right?? Not so much..it stays on that screen for a while then just 'whites' out and stays there..can't do anything..I've tried leaving it sit like that, tried putting the battery out longer, nothing is working!!..any ideas?? Thx

Did you try a hard reset? Look at the Nokia FAQ to find out how.

is there a memory card in it? maybe something is corrupted or trying to start from the card.

you know what?? that was exactly it..i removed the memory card and it booted up fine..i inserted it afterwards and luckily most of my data was still there..actually now i think about it, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me and each time my inbox on sms was approaching 500 or so..i save the sms's to the memory card so maybe this is a bug?? thanks for the advice guys..
