Help please. My boyfriend has an eating disorder?

My boyfriend has been struggling with periods of starving himself and bulimic episodes. As of these last couple months, he's lost enough weight that it's noticeable. On some days, he doesn't eat at all (from what I notice), and on others he's eating a bunch. I know that pattern is most likely having to do with bulimia.
He's always asking me if I'm hungry and he offers to cook me meals. I don't know what exactly his motives are for that. I'm guessing it's because he probably doesn't want me to end up like him? He tells me all the time I'm beautiful the way I am. When he doesn't eat, we sometimes argue about it and I tell him, fine if he won't eat then I won't either. This ticks him off and he eventually gives in and eats a normal meal with me. I think I might be causing more damage than helping, but I don't know what else to do.
He's had his fair share of problems in the past which are carrying over now in the present. He does drugs. He knows I know. He tries his best to hide it from me. He tells me to don't ever do drugs. To not be like him. He tells me that I can always leave him because he feels as though I'm not happy.
He's a sweet guy. I'm not leaving him. I want to help him.

What should I do? He's 19. His parents know about it all and threatened him with rehab and a clinic, and he says he'll sober up and handle it himself. He'll be successful for a while, but eventually goes back to it all.
I'm at a loss right now. I need help on what I should do to get him help or help him through this myself. Please?
