so ok here's the real story i bought a male betta fish i feed him like the usual.then like 2 weeks later it died i tested the water it was fine and the water was not cloudy. please help this might save human life!
its in a 1 gal tank results were fine water was filterd
room temp i cleand its fish bowl once a week
but the female fish did not die
i bought it at wall mart

How big was it's tank?
If it was smaller then a 5 Gallon tank with no heater and filter this could mean lots.

Please answer and i'll tell you why.

Hope this helps!
good Luck!

EDIT:

The tank was to small.
Also the tank was probably not cycled.
Even if you cycled it after a 25% water change every week it will re-cycle.
There is not enough beneficial bacteria for a fish to live in a 1 Gallon tank.
Was their a heater?

Sorry.

EDIT:

You need a heater.
If you want to keep using that fish bowl then I suggest you just got 1-2 Zebra snails.
The only fish that can in there are small fry(babies) from small fish like neons and guppies for a max of 2 weeks.

In what way?

What size tank?
What was the temperature of the water/was there a heater?
Was the tank filtered?
How often did you perform partial water changes?
What were the test results?

~I meant actual readings. But anyhow, your tank is much too small. A single gallon of water is not safe to heat so the water was likely too cold. The temperature should be maintained between 78F-82F.

i have one betta fish from walmart and its doing great......
but my other 5 are from petsmart....

well maybe it died becauce its maybe sick or something....
when buying a fish, make sure u pick the one that moves a lot and very active...then you will be okay with it....
