Help please.. financial matter...?

have a situation..I needed some cash and I could not get cash advance from my credit card so my friend owns jewelry business and he offered me to run my card like I am bying something and then he would give me the money so I trusted him and I needed money for my moms surgery and I was going to pay it back to the credit card company mothly. After that I could not get any money from him and he was treating me with fraud and all kind of treats.. Then after long discussion he promised to return the money by the end of August and so far I only got half of it and he is not responding to my phone calls or messages.What should I do? Do I file a dispute? Do I tell truth what happened?
I AM AFRAID TO GET IN TROUBLE MYSELF BY TELLING THE TRUTH THAT I WAS TRYING TO GET CASH ADVANCE.
 
First, contact the police and file a report. Tell them the truth and don't leave anything out. Then, file a dispute with the credit card company and tell the complete truth again. Your "friend" has defrauded you and committed theft. He needs to be charged with a crime and held liable for the missing money.
