My friend had rigged it for me to touch a wire to the battery to make it start. It comes from the solenoid (I think). He also unplugged a wire from a clutch switch and put a piece of metal in the plug touching both sides to bypass this clutch switch (I think). Anyways, I am able to start the car this way. I was told that it is most likely the ignition switch (cause it starts with the bypass) which is a wire that connects to the back of the key tumbler and plugs in down by the fuse box. I took apart my dash and put this part in, took the piece of metal out of the plug and plugged it back in where it goes by the clutch petal. Then I plugged the hanging wire back onto the solenoid (where the wire to the battery was hooked by my friend). It is still not starting. What could be my problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Could he have possibly done something else in the bypass that I'm missing and haven't put back to normal. I can't get ahold of my friend to ask.
