iv been upgrading my audio system throughout my taurus, so far iv put in an alpine 84 deck, and just purchased 2 pairs of alpine type r spr-57c coaxial speakers 100w rms to put in. Now id like to add an amp or two to boost the power, which eventually i think ill put in maybe one 12 inch sub or 2 10 inch subs, so the amp/amps need to power the 4 speakers, and either the one or two subs. so does anyone have any suggestions for amps? thanks

your best bet for this would to be run 2 amps. one for your 4 channels (front and rear speakers) and one for the subs. It would be best to get a 4 channel amp for the speakers, and a mono block amp for the subs.

My suggestions on amps would be
Alpine MRP-F250 produce 40 watts to each speaker. Ik its not your maximum 100 watts but you really wont be able to tell the difference if your going from stock to after market it will always sound better.

Depending on the subs you get I would go with a single 12 rather then 2x 10's the amp of choice here for low budget would be Alpine MRP-M500. with 1 type r 12" this will produce 500 watts, because the type r is dual 4 ohm, wiring the sub up like this.

another nice sub that would be just as suit for this amp would be the kicker CVR and you can get this for 50 dollars on the net if you look around.

haha yeah it will be alot easier when you decide what subs ur gonna get.. decide then ask

Your best bet is to make your mind up now as to what speakers to get and then look for an amp. Once you know what power your speakers will be needing it is easier to find an amp that will power them.
If it was me I would look for a small amp of about 4 x 125-150watt RMS to run the speakers and for the subs unless your looking at spending big money go for subs at about 300-500watt RMS. Reason being if you get a sub that will do 1000watt RMS finding an amp to power it will be expensive.
Remeber aswell dont think cos the amp says 1000watt peak it will run a 1000watt sub. Its the RMS value that will give you the actual running wattage of the amp.
