Help out Parents who are facing Financial Troubles.?

Other than a few programs to help out for unemployment and welfare, there is nothing.

If he is already collecting the unemployment benefits then that might be as far as they can go. It depends on the illness your mother has. Is she eligible for disability benefits? How old are your parents? Are they old enough for social security to kick in?

In situations like this, many people over look downsizing their lifestyles. There are many ways to reduce the bills by eliminating or exchanging things. Look for ways to reduce their bills and you will give them enormous benefit.

So, my dad recently lost his job and mom is ill and is unable to work. The last fours years, they did not pay a dime for my college education. I was on scholarships and pell grants.

I know they are thankful for that. My question is, "Are there any grants/aid to US citizens who are facing financial troubles in the state of VA."

My dad already collected unemployment benefits. So Im basically looking for "free gov't money."
