Help Opticians! Small, flashing, spots of light?!?

You need to go see you optometrist or opthamologist. What you are seeing are called floaters, and if you are seeing light flashes these are signs that there could be something wrong. Although for some people this can be considered normal. You not wearing your glasses should have no impact on this. Please see your doctor.
 
I reguarly see small, moving spots of light in my vision. There are many of them and they move around all over the place quite quickly. I am short sighted, however I do not wear my glasses very often because of playing sport etc. Is this why?
