Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a Gilera DNA 50cc bike for when I'm 16 to do the 20 mile journey to my college, so a 40 miles round trip. Do you think this would be a suitable bike for my first bike and for travelling that far each day?

I would like to hear your opinions or any suggestions!

Thanks very much!

hey, you are 16.. if u get driving licence to ride a bike on roads, just go for 75 cc or 100 cc bike.
you have to cover minimum 40 miles a day. 50 cc is not enough to cover it. but it will give you good mileage. above 75 cc is Good for you, riding comfort, handling, road grip, and safety.
so think twice to buy a bike....beast wishes on roads, wear a helmet, be patience in traffic blocks...wroooommm......JIBRAN.

Go to the web site below by clicking on it and watch that video that says "Don't buy a motorcycle until you know this...!"

40 miles everyday. It should handle that fine. Just take good care of it by changing the oil at the scheduled intervals, store it indoors, and ride safe.
Do not attempt to ride on the highway with it.

50cc bike?!? Well, depends how fast you will travel. If you are not planning on going over 40-50mph than you should be OK but anything above that will feel like you are over-running the engine...

if ur not looking to spend a lot of money get 50cc if u don't really care about how the bike looks just get a scooter they are cheap if not buy the new or old 250 ninjas, i have a yzfr6 and my first bike was a ninja i loved it
