Orla McMahon bought a new house at 24 Laurel Court, Thules. costing 55,000 euro. She paid a deposit of 5,000euro and negoyiated a 20 year mortgage for the balance from a building society. The mortgage repayments cost 8.60euro a month per 1,000euro borrowed.
