Help on asking a girl to the 8th grade dance...?

text her and tell her to meet you at your locker after whatever period. say do you want to to go the dance with me. if she likes you, she will want you to ask her. trust me, she will be dissapointed or mad if you dont.
 
I really like this one girl at my school, we text a lot, but we are both too shy to ever talk at school. She's told me that she likes me, and I like her. The 8th grade dance is in like 3 weeks, how should I ask her?

She is always around her friends. Any advice??? Thanks if you can help!
