blueprints/plans/ideas please!? Hello. I need some help with a physics project of mine. The physics project is building a very sturdy and light weight bridge. I was wondering if anybody could help me by providing me with some tips for building my bridge. The rules of the contest are:

1. The bridge must be built with only wood that are 1/4 x 1/4 of an inch thick. Toothpicks and popsicle sticks are okay.
2. All types of glue can be used. If there is glue showing on the bridge, you must sand it off.
3. The bridge can be as long and as tall as you want but the span that the bridge is going to be put over is 35 centimeters.
4. The bridge must hold 50 lbs of sand.
5. There must be a 'road bed' and in the middle of the road bed there must be a whole where a wood block will be placed with a hook coming out at the bottom. The hook with hold a bucket which will hold the sand.
6. The width of the bridge should be bigger than 2 inches because it must hold the wood block without it falling off.

The winner of the contest will be the lightest and sturdiest bridge that holds 50 lbs or more of sand.

Thank you.
