Help - No trouble Codes Displayed...

Noticed that the horn sounded funny, not loud like it should be, very faint. Took out the service manual, followed the trouble shooting procedures, based on the voltage not being present, checked for any loose, frayed wires, checked the horn switch, everything looked normal. Put the bike away, had other things to do.

Came out today to go for a ride (without the horn working). Started the bike up, running fine, but the security light (looks like a key) stayed lit. Then I noticed the tachometer wasn't registering. Rode around the block, the speedometer, tachometer, horn, and turn signals aren't working. The bike seemed to run normal, but only went around the block.

Checked all the fuses, everything okay. Tried to get the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) as posted in this forum, but couldn't get any codes. Followed the procedure but the speedometer needle didn't sweep it's full range, the only indicator light that's lit is the security light, and nothing in the odometer.

Any thoughts before I go to the dealer?

That sounds like an electrical ground somewhere.

Done any mods lately?

Check the horn wires and turn signal wires (including under the fender) first.

It sounds like you have blown your accessory fuse...I know you said you checked all of your fuses...But everything that isn't working is on that fuse...You might want to check it again.

Thanks geezer glide 56, that's exactly what it was. I didn't check the accessories fuse, not realizing anything was hooked up to it.

Everything seems to working again. Thanks!!
