I’m a drummer and I own a Roland TD-8 module which I use for both my electric kit at home as well as triggering of my acoustic kit live. I often take pads from my electric kit to live shows to fire off certain sounds live (from the midi selection on the TD-8 module).
What I need to do is somehow trigger off a pre-recorded sound (mp3, wav or similar) using my pads. My question really would be do I need to buy something else to act as a sampler which I can then trigger from my TD-8 module or can this be done with the TD-8 or some other accessory.
Basically, i have a bass bomb/boom/drop which i wish to use live.
