Help needed: 804SS to Z540

I've been trying all weekend to get my 804SS flashed, but nothing seems to be working.

I've tried four or five different Z540 firmwares, with four or five different downloaders, but none of them work. Some of the firmwares/downloaders will show 100% completion, but the phone cannot be powered on. When I press 9+PWR, I get the blue screen, and when I try to re-flash the modem code, etc, the phone just powers off as soon as the data starts to write.

I am able to flash back to V804SSFD1. That one works fine. But that's the ONLY firmware that works.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
 
You can flash V804SSFD1, that means your flasher is for 804ss.
804ss flasher can't flash Z540 firmware.
Z540 flasher can't flash 804ss firmware.
You want to change 804ss to Z540, you're flashing Z540 firmware, of coz you need z540 flasher.
