I've been asked to take some photos of an R&B and Hip Hop band for them to use on their website. It's an opportunity for me to build my portfolio as a starting-out photographer.
We are going to do several different locations, something industrial, abandoned warehouse, railroad tracks type of scenes. My question is this:
What settings am I going to want to use mid-day (assuming it's sunny) outdoors to get the best possible photos for these guys as possible? Is a tripod really essential? (I don't like the idea of being restricted into one place). ISO? Aperature? Help please! As my first gig, I don't want to screw this up and want to end up with the best possible photos.
For the record, I use a Sony DSLR A300 camera. I currently have 2 lenses, a 18-70 and 75-300. Should I be using another lens type for photos like this?
Thanks in advance, my shoot is 3 days from now!
