Does anybody know if it is possible to use the N80 to connect to a laptop for dial-up connection to my ISP. I'm talking about actually dialing a phone number to connect and not through GPRS (tethering). I already got tethering working, I'm just wondering if it is possible to get it to actually dial a phone number to connect. I have a lot of anytime minutes in my Cingular account and want to use them for this purpose. Thanks in advance.

yes, instead of using pc suite to create the connection, do the following
create a dialup connection on you r pc
select the N80 as the modem from the list available (the name of the modem is the same that you see while using the pc suite to tether)

I've been trying to do that, but I always get a connection error on the phone. I even used "ATDT" for the special string command on the advance option of the modem. Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know the correct strings to be used to make it work? Thanks in advance!
