Help My Playstation 3 wont play any Playstation 3 games!!?

I have A Playstation 40GB. I have had it for about 2 years. It worked fine until yesterday after i updated the softwear, it refused to play any games. The internet would work and so would CD's, or DVD's . I turned it off and on and nothing happens. I insert the Game Disk and nothing happens, what should I do? has anyone ever encountered this?
 
I heard there are videos on youtube on how you hold the power button or something to fix it (look it up I'm not sure). Same thing happened to me. Sony screwed us with the one year warranty.
 
If you shut down your PS3 during the update, you might have got a corrupt Blu-ray driver. Just reinstall the update if possible or wait for the next update.
