Find out what was missing or she didn't like then correct it or tell her to bring her own food home next time. In general I have found it is usually something small that needs to be changed, added or doesn't like cooked shrimp but likes baked breaded shrimp. Ask and learn and move forward. Good luck
First off, it may have little to do with you, if she was already grumpy coming in.
Secondly, learn some good tried and true recipes. Ask what kind of meals she likes.
Why not ask what's going on and then listen carefully to the answer. It could be she's having a hard time at work or something like that. Sometimes just listening is enough, letting someone talk things out.
