HELP! My male betta fish made a bubble nest! What does this mean?

I don't know what to do.... does he want a mate?
Buying a female is out of the question.
 
Bubble nests mean your betta is happy and healthy and is ready to breed. This does not mean you should get a female. If you are not a professional at breeding betta the outcome will be bad. They will most likely fight. Do not get a female.
 
It means he's ready and willing to mate and it trying to attract a female with the size of his nest. Its a GOOD thing, means he's happy and healthy. He doesn't HAVE to have a female, so thats okay.
 
It means your doing good as an owner. They build nests when their happy and willing to breed. This doesnt mean they have to.
