Curious. Let's say the choice is a V-Rod versus another power cruiser from Japan. Why would you take the Japanese bike?

I was referring to sportbike's (I-4's and twins). As for your choice, I'd still go with a Japanese cruiser! The Suzuki M109R would outperform the V-Rod anyday in price, comfort, and handling--- the only area it would fail would be in resale value!

Sorry. I've come to the conclusion that while Harly makes a good product its not a GREAT product for what you pay. Bang for the buck? Only if they're shooting with a .22.

Alfredo, today I had the chance to see live a Desmosedici right next to a 1098R @ my dealer here in NY. The D16RR I was looking at didn't have the stripe work and is still bolted into the crate. What a rush! Is there any reason why is orange instead of red? I'm sure you would know! Good luck with yours!

I would not quite say it is orange....it's more like a lighter red also known as "rosso corse"; the other red, like on the 1098's and 848 etc I think it is called "rosso Ducati"
