Look, a couple of day ago i went fishing and got a small crappie and a small mouth bass, i kept them alive until i got home, i placed them on a 10 gal. fish tank and they got the food, proper water temperature and a liquid that says to put 10 drops of it into 10 gal. of water to kill any kind of germs and clorine that could harm the fish, they have not eaten sinse i cough them and now the crappie has both of his eyes white and his back is getting peeled, i do not know what is happening to him.
i already changed the water a couple of times to see if the drops were harming him but no.
i am one of those people that hate see animals dying,
Please help, what is happening?

It is very STRESSED!!! Those fish are TOO BIG for a 10 gallon tank. IF you dont like to see animals die, TAKE THEM OUT!!! If you don't, their deaths will be your FAULT!!!

you should of never taken this fish home and put them in a tank. I knwo, some people do, but its cruel as these are wild fish, not use to a tank confinment. And a ten gallon tank is way too small for them. Your tap water, even treated is nothing like what they are use to. Please sit these fish free before they die.

euthenase fish.
the white eyes is burnt tish with the start of fungal+bacterial infection.
will die.
even with antibiotics 40%die and the rest are permanently blind.
skin erosion is necrosis.
its also fatal.
soon there will be small air bubbles forming under skin and organ failure.
sorry.

I know you probley seem very inocent.

But, i think you have killed your fish.
I'd take them back if i was you.
Never tamper with wildlife, it's never very rewarding unless you know exactly what your doing.

There are lots of minerals & many things in our tap water that fish can't servive in.
You have to buy stuff to put in the tank from the Pet Store.

Sorry, & i hope they are alright.
Take them carefully back to where you got them & hope they get better.

They are too big for the cage anways..

Hope this helped.
Thank you.
