I have a 3 bala sharks, a pictus catfish, a clown knife, 2 parrot cichlids, and 2 gouramis. the bala sharks have white spots , the pictus catfish has a lot of white spots, the clown knife has very few white spots, and one of the parrot cichlids has white spots. My pictus catfish has a lot of white spots and he always rubs his body on the heater and always goes to surface for air. i think what caused them ick is that i forgot to turn the heater back on and the temp fell down to 70F degrees. its usually on about 78-80F. i know it was a big mistake but i want to know what is the best treatment for the fish and that wont kill them. I dont have real plants in the tank. I herd if I raise the temp to about 86F degrees it would help. will a water change also help? this is the second time I have had ick and the first time i had ick, i used a ick tablet and it killed all the fish. it was about 2 years ago when it happened. so whats the best medicine for my fish?
