HELP!..my bike doesnt work :(?

i have a "gary fisher"..its been in the garage for a while..everything is were its suppose to be EXCEPT it doesn't run..i pedal but it doesn't do anything..the chain is on..the gears are good..but yet it doesn't do anything..please help me..
 
Squirt some mineral oil liberally inside the rear freehub body, at the base of the rear cogs(where spokes/hub meets the cassette)....pedal backwards, and then try going forward.
