my male crowntail betta fish is not acting right.he wont move much and he is not eating anything not even dried blood worms.and today I put a mirror on top of his fish tank and he all of sudden got very happy then his gills just popped out and I know is was not him breathing HELP

p.s I have him in a 1 gallon fish tanks and the water temp is 77 degrees.

If your worried about his gills popping out like that, don't worry! Thats just his way of showing off, and flaunting what hes got! Bettas can be territorial, or agressive to other vibrantly coloured fish, or fish with long fins. This is just one of their reactions! I personally know that bettas ( no matter what the people at the pet store say ) do much better in bigger tank usually 5 Gallons would be about a good minimum gallon capacity. Your temperature is right, and just make sure that you have good water quality and filtration, and also provide movement at the waters surface, either with the filter itself, and air stone, or a power-head ( for bigger tank such as 20 Gallon ) Hope This Helps -Good Luck - Andrew
