i am not a big cell phone person and dont no much so i got questions thanks for all your help...

a)it says on on the main screen 17.2 units is that the mintues left if not what is it and how do i see my minutes left
b)does it cost money to text message
c)do games and texting and stuff like that cost minutes
d)wats a sim card and does it need to be updated anytime
